When the rules of wrestling change, so do the technical trends. There was a time the fall or pin was the ultimate goal.

This is a follow up to an earlier post What is match fixing in wrestling?. I didn't intend to have a follow up post, but when I read a news paper article that indicated Peter Forsberg played a hockey game with the intent to lose in order to get a better draw in the play off round.

There are a number of ways to penetrate the legs of your opponent to score a high crotch takedown. This article looks at two more ways to get into the legs.

Is giving up a round in wrestling the same as fixing a match? Or is the problem with deciding on how a certain match will go by deciding the winner of a round or two before it starts? How about if wrestlers from the same club decide to split the first two rounds and wrestle the third for real, does that make it legitimate? To tell you the truth, I don't know but think it is worth talking about.

An athlete's success can be measured a number of ways, but for a lot of people it is only results. This makes OJ Simpson, Rae Carruth, Art Schlichter and a bunch more, successes. Mind you, you may have to go to a prisson to get an autograph.
